This is the Marble Bridge (Мраморный мост) in the Catherine Park at Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin), 25 km south of the centre of Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Catherine Park is adjacent to the Catherine Palace. The golden roof behind the bridge belongs to the Turkish Bath.
The Marble Bridge is the work of Vasiliy Neelov and was built between 1770 and 1776. It was modelled after the Palladian Bridge at Wilton House in England. Neelov first made a wooden model for the bridge, which was sent to Yekaterinburg where the bridge was built out of marble. Then it was and sent back to Tsarskoe Selo in pieces where it was assembled. The bridge is also known as the Siberian Marble Gallery or the Siberian Bridge because it’s made of marble from the Ural.
